IGNOU PG Diploma In Urban Planning And Development To Be Started

The biggest open university in India, Indra Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) is going to introduce one new course i.e PG Diploma In Urban Planning And Development from July 2014 session. Student will be able to apply for this course soon. Initially IGNOU is planning to offer this course in English only but later it will also be available in Hindi medium.

Students who will take admission into this course will be provided periodic counseling sessions to clear their doubts. Study material will also be provided to all the students who will take admission into this course. This course will be offered under IGNOU's School of Extension and Development Studies.

Urban planning and development is one of the hottest career option globally. Both government & private organizations offer jobs in this sector. It has been projected that globally two-third of the global population will be living in urban areas by 2025. India is world's second largest urban system and close to 30% population in India lives in urban cities and this number is going to increase to 50% by 2025.

By those number we expect a good number of jobs are going to come in this sector in next 5 years.
