If you're looking for admission into courses offered by world's largest open university i.e Indra Gandhi National Open University a.k.a IGNOU, read this post carefully. IGNOU invite applications for admission into most of its courses twice in a year. There are two admission cycles at IGNOU i.e January & July. IGNOU makes admission forms available at least one and a half month before the last date of admission. If you want to take admission into July cycle, the admission forms are likely to be available in the month of May, similarly if you wish to take admission into January cycle you may get the admission formsin the month of November. To take admission into the programmes mentioned above, you need to buy a prospectus cum student handbook. The prospectus cum student handbook can be purchased from IGNOU regional centers or study centers. The cost for the same if Rs.200.
Last date for application is 20th June 2014 and with late fee of Rs 300/- till 31st July 2014.
For some courses there is an entrance test is required for admission. Only successful candidates gets a chance to take admission into those courses. The popular courses which requires an admission test includes Management Courses, B.Ed, M.Ed and Post Basic B.Sc Nursing.
For admission into degree/ diploma programmes in management, (Diploma in Management, PG Diploma in Management, PG Diploma in Human Resource Management, PG Diploma in Financial Management, PG Diploma in Operations Management, PG Diploma in Marketing Management, PG Diploma in Financial Markets Practice), you have to appear in OPENMAT-XXXVI.
If you're looking for admission into M.Ed., B.Ed. and Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing for January 2015 cycle, you can appear into OPENNET-IV. The entrance test is scheduled to be held on 17th August 2014.
